Yoga
We
offer several types of yoga to suit all ages and activity levels.
Ayurvedic Yoga
Yoga is the sister science of Ayurveda. Ayurvedic yoga understands how
to use yoga posture to maintain a balanced state of the body and mind
based on doshic theory (or bodily humors) of Ayurvedic Healthcare. In
determining which poses will be brought into practice each day,
Ayurvedic Yoga takes into consideration the individual
student’s current state of well-being, as well as the class
dynamic as a whole, combined with the time of day and season. Students
who have had the opportunity to compare Ayurvedic yoga to common
western models of yoga technique are astounded and inspired to realize
that in Ayurvedic Yoga class we are truly practicing yoga.
“Wow! This is the real deal!” being the usual
